Programme
The session is a half-day event, planned to balance visibility, participation and feasibility in a first edition.
To complete: date, room and start time, once the CLEF local organisers publish the lab schedule. Add clock times to the table below when the slot is confirmed.
| Slot | Duration | Content |
|---|---|---|
| Keynote and introduction | 45 min | Invited speaker on the challenges of scaling evaluation in DH |
| Invited and initiative presentations | 80 min | Leading researchers and representatives of major initiatives, infrastructures and projects relevant to DH evaluation |
| Posters and discussion | 30 min | Interactive presentation of ongoing projects and proposals |
| Roadmap panel | 30 min | Panel with the steering committee and the audience, to outline future shared tasks |
To complete: the four slots add up to 185 minutes without breaks. Check this against the length of the half-day slot allocated by CLEF and adjust, or state where the coffee break falls.
Invited speakers
The list below is tentative and reflects the proposal as accepted.
To complete: mark which invitations have been sent, which have been accepted, and remove anyone who declines. Publishing unconfirmed names is a reputational risk for the lab, so consider keeping this list private until confirmations arrive, or labelling each entry as invited or confirmed.
- Belén Almeida (Universidad de Alcalá), on Red Charta and historical correspondence.
- Sarah Oberbichler (University of Luxembourg), on AI for digital history.
- Frank Fischer (Freie Universität Berlin), head of DraCor (Drama Corpora).
- Sally Chambers (DARIAH-EU), on infrastructure and community building.
- Benjamin Kiessling and Peter Stokes (EPHE, PSL), developers of eScriptorium and HTR technology.
- Antoine Isaac (Europeana), R&D manager.
- Maria Eskevich (Huygens Institute, KNAW), on CLARIN, DARIAH and ParlaCLARIN.
- Tobias Blanke (University of Amsterdam), on AI, culture and society, founding director of DARIAH.
To complete: confirm affiliations. The proposal abbreviates several of them (FUB, UAH, EPHE-PSL), and at least one speaker has moved institution in recent years. Each entry should also carry a link to a personal or institutional page.
Keynote
To complete: the keynote speaker is not named in the proposal. Decide whether the keynote comes from the invited list above or from outside it, and announce the title and abstract once available.
Posters
To complete: explain how posters are selected (open call, invitation, or both), the expected format, and whether an abstract must be submitted in advance. See Participate.
